PULSE is our vitamin supplement product which will revolutionize a consumer’s performance (work or otherwise) the next morning after an evening of drinking or a night of indulgence. Pulse prevents hangovers with a proprietary, MD-created, and FDA-compliant formula. Consumers will be able to drink the night before work and still be able to function as a successful professional the day after. Our target market consists primarily of upper-middle income decile, white-collar professionals, but the logo should have universal appeal and convey an aspirational lifestyle. The ultimate goal is to create a product viewed as appropriate for successful, social individuals who need the ability to stay sharp after drinking. We want our logo to be able to reflect that. Also the logo should be a good fit for the different types of packaging that Pulse will be offered in. Additionally, we are approaching our go-to market with enhancements from a viral marketing campaign, so it should be easily marketable and eye-catchy. Pulse’s active ingredients are all FDA-compliant and serve to improve liver function and the removal of acetaldehyde while protecting the liver. Unlike other competitors in the market, Pulse treats the root causes of hangovers rather than the symptoms. This product will be available in single-serving liquid shots, single-serving packages of one dose, and chewing-gum-style blister packs of three to four doses. This packaging differs to the industry standard pill bottle, which associates with products for sickness and having the need to be cured. The logo should be a good fit for the different types of packaging that Pulse will be offered in. Additionally, we are approaching our go-to market with enhancements from a viral marketing campaign, so any logo should attempt to be easily marketable and eye-catchy. The ideal logo should be vibrant and attention-grabbing, especially for point-of-purchase sales. It should not reference Pulse’s connection to alcohol but can reference the positive effects of Pulse as a liver supplement or the lifestyle it promotes. The logo should also reflect the premium nature of the product. Looking at successful consumer products, Clif Bar, Red Bull, and Kind Bar’s logos do not reference their underlying products with their logos, but successfully convey the product’s name while simultaneously giving off a lifestyle feel.
