Spoonful of Greece
Food & Drink
GreekEat is a non-profit initiative aiming to promote a healthier lifestyle based on Greek cuisine while in parallel promoting the exports of Greek food products in the US. GreekEat is voluntarily managed by Greek graduate students, postdoctoral associates and researchers of various disciplines in the Boston area. Vis-à-vis rough times for the Greek economy, our mission is to increase the visibility of Greek food products (e.g., extra virgin olive oil, olives, wine, honey) focusing primarily on the Boston area, and to raise awareness about their nutritional and culinary value. At the same time, we hope to encourage high quality medium-scale Greek producers to reach out to the US market. We plan to escalate our campaign through several events and projects on and off MIT campus, and to amplify and spread the messages of our cause through social media. Our main target audience are Foodies and generally people who pay a lot of attention to high quality food as well as local distributors of such produce and owners of food retail shops.
Logo types to explore
Ideally we would like our logo to creatively promote High Quality Greek products. The Greek diet has been studied for many years since it has scientifically been proven that it promotes wellness and longevity. We want our logo to portray the natural and pure aspect of these products as we try to make them more popular in the US. We have attached some pictures that show the natural way that quality Greek products are created and also the more modern packaging that some of the young entrepreneurs are trying to establish to improve their brand image.
