We were blown away by all of the designs, but aes_ was super attentive to our feedback. In the poll we ran, his design was the clear winner, appealing to men & women of all ages. We could not be happier with our design and with the overall process!

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
GBC is a new Craft Micro Brewery, creating amazing organic craft microbrews, ciders, meades and sours. Our target audience is young (young at heart), energetic, fun loving and health conscious people who care about what they put in their body and want something with character, flavor and the best wholesome ingredients! We understand that women represent a small percentage of "fermented beverage" drinkers, but we are brewing specifically to change that. Our vision is to create a destination location where people come together to experience creative brews and socializing while enjoying the best in live music and tantalizing food.

We are seeking designs that appeal to the young and hip. The designs should be big and bold with a rock 'n roll edge to them. We also want to incorporate a Pacific Northwest native totem/tribal feel to it, anchoring it to the region where GBC will reside. The legend of the ghost fish is eerie and mysterious, and the logo should evoke that. The sightings are a night time phenomenon, and we like the feel of some of the black cards that we've seen here. The sketch above shows the ghost fish rising out of water towards a hop cone in front of a full moon. Since hops are an integral component of beer we like the idea of hop cones being incorporated somewhere within the design.This is just the tip of the iceberg - this logo will be used to identify the brewery, but we will need one for each of the new brews we will be marketing, so there will be many more to come!
