We have 2 main fundraising events, each with their own websites (www.herspeoplewithpurpose.org [we refer to it as PWP], http://www.herskeepabreast.org [we refer to it as KAB]). Each event has its own logo. Right now, each of the 3 logos is a different shade of pink. Eventually, we want them to be the same color, or at least only 2 different shades of pink. Right now we are only designing a new logo for HBCF, so ideally it would match one of the pinks of the other 2 logos.
Current PWP logo = CMYK 0/49/5/0 (hex #f39ab9)
Current KAB logo = CMYK 5/52/20/0 (hex #e791a1)
While we are a breast cancer organization, we don't want to go with the stereotypical pink ribbon. Pink is good, but the ribbon is not a part of our branding or messaging.
Our current logo has an image, the letters HERS prominently placed, and the words "breast cancer foundation" in a smaller font.
We think our current logo is too "busy" and a bit hard to read.
We would like the 4 letters "HERS" to be all capital letters, since it is an acronym.
"HERS" should be larger than "Breast Cancer Foundation" but not too much larger. Maybe ratio of 3-1 or 4-1.
"HERS" should be in a somewhat "soft" font - not too angular, and not too sharp. Our clients are women and we want it to look feminine. Also, these women are dealing with serious health issues so we want to feel soft, comforting, warm, friendly, non-threatening.
Soft shadows and gradients are good.
We also want it to feel uplifting and positive. They have had a serious diagnosis, and we are helping them through it.
One of our big events is a 5k/10k walk/run where there is a ceremony where breast cancer survivors release doves into the air. A dove or abstract bird might work very well in this logo.
