InnovatED Lab will empower educators and students how to think as problem solvers by experiencing learning through creating in a community. A safe, innovative environment designed to explore and incubate ideas on how teaching and learning will prepare students and educators to excel in the 21st Century.
Under the InnovatED Lab umbrella we will have multiple initiatives that focus specifically on high school students and high school educators.
1. Startup Twenty empowers 20 high school students per class to create startups in the St. Louis community.
Who: High School Seniors
What: Semester long, half day course for students looking to turn their passion into purpose by using lean launchpad and design thinking
When: 8:00-10:30 or 11:30-2:00 daily
Where: innovatED lab
2. Educator Lab is a professional development program that will train teachers how to engage students in experiential education using the design thinking model in order for students to be better positioned in the future.
We will be targeting high school seniors, their parents, and their schools. Also major organizations like Edward Jones, Scottrade, Price Waterhouse, Kauffman Foundation, Intuit, Mastercard, and other corporations who have a philanthropic connection with entrepreneurship and education for partnerships.
