eBranding Me
"eBranding Me" plans to create a peer-to-peer mentoring program focused on informing generation Y students and young adults on online social responsibility and privacy issues in hopes of successful enrollment in college and securing gainful employment post-graduation.
The site will be comprised of a communal blog with contributors being between the ages of 17-29, located nation wide (USA). The topics will range from Facebook privacy issues to promoting oneself through various online channels. Furthermore, the site will provide information on reserving speakers for your high school, college or larger university. Finally, there will be a curriculum section, highlighting classroom activities, presentations, photos and videos as a resource for both students and teachers.
While "eBranding Me" will maintain a strong online presence, its business model relies heavily on its lectures. Being hired by both Career Services and Business departments, as well as Student Government Associations, to travel and present intriguing information on location - hopefully inspiring Generation Y students to be more cautious online, and use the medium to promote a positive image.
Our primary target audience are administrators at learning institutions. The staff members of a Career Services department must be able to instill trust into our ability to provide further insight on the subject than their textbooks and prior knowledge are able to.
However, the logo must be appealing and inviting to students as well - as their first exposure to our business will most likely be online (as an assignment before "eBranding Me" speaks at their institution).
We are looking for a logo represent our overall image - "eBranding Me"
We are not looking for a corporate logo in a rectangular form. We hope to see a more playful, yet professional, icon to represent ourselves.
1. Nothing aimed at children - we are targeting professionals and "serious" young adults.
2. Nothing too elegant - we do not want to come across as being fancy. We want to feel approachable. We are Generation Y speakers, informing our PEERS.
3. The typeface should be clear, simple and bold. We want something that stands out.
4. Must use entire BRAND NAME - "eBranding Me"
- The URL will be "eBranding.me" so we do not want our audience to become confused and use ".com"
Please feel free to experiment with colors!
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Please provide a Vector graphic, as we will be enlarging for posters in the future...
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo! Only original work.
