I am in the process of re-branding myself. My target audience includes small businesses looking to develop a smart and slick website (not just looking for the cheapest website they can find). I am also targeting marketing and design professionals looking to sub contract their website development.
The name "whip" stems from its usage in "smart as a whip" and/or the slang term referring to a luxury car.
Impression I'd like to give (in no particular order): smart, elegant, simple, creative.
Samples of logos that I like can be found at: http://www.micawebdesign.com/favelogos.html. There are also some brief comments about what I like and don't like there. But I do invite you to expand my thinking beyond the samples I have provided.
I would like the mark (or some part of the logo) to make a nice web browser icon (favorite/bookmark icon) that is somewhat easy to distinguish when shrunk to that size.
