The design simply explains everything I wanted to say about my new product, feminine, natural, elegant and has the slogan I believe in. Thanks to the talented designer who was very responsive from the beginning to the end.
How Melissa Fitzpatrick started their logo design journey
Melissa Fitzpatrick/Fitzpatrick Studios
I am a wedding and portrait photographer in San Luis Obispo, California. I want to update my branding to a cleaner, simple but fun design and want to start with my logo. My website is http://www.fitzpatrickstudios.com. I have been in business for 18 years. This logo will be used on my website, blog, promo pieces and advertisements. My style is classic, simple, and in my work I use a mixture of textures and light to create interest.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My audience is brides and moms. I do portraits, mainly children, some families, and weddings so I would like something that would appeal to women, mainly but not limited to the 20-35 age range. Most of my clients are middle to middle/upper class and appreciate photography. Most of my sales are from albums and wall portraits.
I am not sure of the new branding colors that I will be using so I need to have a logo that I will be able to change the colors in the future. I guess I would like something simpler. I know my scriptina font is overused but I kind of like the idea of a script type of logo but am not requiring it. My business name is Fitzpatrick Studios but I like to emphasize that me (Melissa Fitpatrick) is the photographer and so I would like Melissa Fitzpatrick more emphasized than Fitzpatrick Studios but if possible would like the business name also included but not necessary. I would like possibly a graphic element added to it.
