Our designer did a great job taking feedback, modifying it quickly and coming up with out of the box ideas that really stood out.
How John49123100 started their logo design journey
I'm starting a new company that will track the life of hydraulic hoses on equipment, via RFID technology. This is an additional aspect to an existing venture, but not related ... ie: the companies are not financially related. So I don't want the logo to be anything like the existing business. So having said that, i won't tell you the existing business ...... This logo will initially be used on the product, either screen printed, or possibly moulded in the silicone product itself. Depending on the intricacies of the winning design. Like i said this product is a silicone band that will have an RFID microchip inside it and be scanned by an RFID reader to link to an online database (web site design will follow, so the winner here will be in the box seat for more cash!) I'm hoping to get across to the customer a sense of accuracy, in data and information as well as a sense of speed. A clean crisp design is required with no fancy frills.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Large corporations, Mining companies, Offshore Oil and Gas and OEM manufacturers. These sorts of companies are looking at increased productivity without increased costs. By tracking the life of hoses, we can predict downtime and plan maintenance hence saving money for the customer in the long run. The white collar worker will be the target customer. They want innovation at no cost and increased profits. End of Story. So all in all a lovely bunch of people!
I have a picture in my head of the word "HOSETRAK" slightly in italics, but quite bold. Bright Orange in colour. The word Australia below this word in thin black font, like the thin black outline of "HOSETRAK" ..... so i DONT want this !!!!, That's why i'm asking for help. I need something that will get this accurate speedy feel, but not as bad as i have described above. The product is a silicone band on a hydraulic hose with a microchip in it. The hose is similar to hoses made by Parker (http://www.parkerhose.com), but this is only to get ideas on what the product is, i don't think i want too much reliance on graphics in the logo. Or letters made from hoses, like a crappy letter 'S'.
Best of luck and thanks for giving this a go even if you are not the eventual winner.
