Uday is a great designer to work with and I would work with him again in a second. He has gone to extra mile to make us happy and is very much appreciated.

How mecodia started their logo design journey
We're a group of students, starting our own business in 2011 and are now looking for a fitting and awesome logo. Our company is made up of two former separate organizations, on the one hand the CodingCorsairs ( http://www.codingcorsairs.com ) - a web developement firm - and on the other hand the german project “media-skills 2.0” ( http://www.medienkompetenz20.de ), a media initiative run by students for teaching students.
Our new company is going to be called "mecodia" and will combine the aspects of the former organizations. (Explanation of the word mecodia: It’s a mixture of media and code.) Our main activity will be teaching students and informing parents and teachers to be media-savvy in the sense of critically handling the media, especially focusing on new media like social networks and internet services. Besides, we are still doing IT-projects and offering services around the web.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our media-workshops are designed to suit students, parents and teachers. To reach them we will have to deal with public authorities, especially schools. As we offer webdesign and IT-services as well, the logo should also attract companies throughout all branches of industry.
As we will have to do a lot of paperwork, contracts and legal stuff, we need a logo that is pretty, but still simple and recognizable. The choice of font, color and capitalization is up to the designer.
To be a little more specific:
- nothing cluttered or complex (no graffity look and feel)
- letters of brand name mecodia should be clearly readable
- logo should work on bright and a dark backgrounds
- we are open for creativity and crazyness
- should still look reliable and professional
- must be scalable to various sizes and maintain legibility
Important: The winning logo should be a vector graphic and as such been delivered (i.e. Illustrator).
We will be giving lots of feedback and will check this website often for submissions and comments.
