LOGO design for a new dental office in an urban center. The area is newly gentrifying, so there is a mix of old residential, new condos, art galleries, hipster bars, fashion studios, coffee houses, bakeries, schools and parks. There are multiple population segments that we wish to target: young families with children, 20-somethings with their first apartments, professionals who work in the area. The office style and logo must appeal to these individuals but should not alienate the 40-65 year old crowd. It should be welcoming, friendly and inclusive but EDGY. The key words that should resonate when you create the logo: different, fresh, new.
This practice needs to be set apart from the traditional dental office spa look, the stuck in the '80's look, the too sterile clinical uptight look. There are other new dental offices opening very close by-- this office needs to stand out.
Please do not use the time-worn cliches in dental office logos. No extracted teeth or teeth shapes, no smiling teeth, no toothbrushes.
Please do not use generic logos- no overlapping circles or swishy lines or leaves over the letter "I" or scratches that mean absolutely nothing.
The key themes are as follows:
professional with a sense of humour

Please think out of the box. It needs to be professional but young, fresh, inviting. Good examples of this are Apple, Geico, INGdirect, Warby Parker, Volkswagen (particularly the Darth Vader kid commercial).
