IslandNomad got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo Design for Suburban City Portal
Check out IslandNomad's Logo design contest…
Creating a portal website for a suburban city. The logo needs to be hip, cool and can stand on its own for marketing purposes. Website name is SuburbanSnitch.com
What's your vision?
Desired Style: Hip, cool - easily recognized. Accepted File Formats: Vector for both Web and Print - Jpg for contest is ok This site will have the inside scoop on restaurant reviews, local happenings, events, news, etc. Everything that pertains to the local surroundings(CitySearch meets the suburbs). The current thought for marketing is to have the logo plastered all over town. We have not decided if the website name has to be in the logo. We are not set on color scheme either, so please be creative! It has to be a cool looking logo that people will recognize. Eventually the thought is to have the logo on plastic cups at bars, napkins at restaurants, stickers, etc. My current thought is that the logo should be iconic, not necessarily the name. I like the RedHat logo to give you an idea, but am open to your creations. I am ALWAYS available for discussion on this. Thank you in advance!
