We are a non profit that helps families pay for residential treatment for teens or young adults with serious emotional problems. We provide loans and grants to families as well as information on financial resources,. Through our newsletter and website we also offer emotional support to these families.
We are currently creating a new website, but first need a new logo. The colors should be sage green on ivory. It should include our company's name, Hope Renews, and a simple graphic. The overall design should reflect: overcoming struggle, breaking through obstacles, reaching a peak after a long climb.
We are facing a branding problem. Since our name is Hope Renews, and our color is green, some people mistake us for an environmental organization. So our design should brand us as an organization that helps families with kids in trouble, not global warming.
The design should be simple, tasteful, hopeful, muscular.
Our target audience are parents with kids in trouble. These parents are in crisis: maybe their kid is shooting heroin in the bathroom, or cutting themselves. We need a design that is reassuring, comforting, and conveys hope. Nothing busy, brash or wild.
Our secondary audience are psychiatrists, education consultants, treatment center staff and other treatment professionals who offer guidance and support.
We want a logo with the words Hope Renews in sage green on an ivory background. It could incorporate a simple graphic, although that is not required.
The design should not look like a corporate logo.
It should indicate that we support families, not the environment. (No leaves, trees, or shrubs.)
The board of directors have rejected a number of designs, calling them too feminine and light. We need simple, but strong.
