Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are an online shop selling high quality grill & bbq accessories. Our main product is a bunch of fresh home-made marinades and sauces, made by professional cooks following their passion for high-qualitative slow-food grilling. Our target audience is connoisseurs and grill enthusiasts (even if they may not cook much otherwise) at the age of around 30+ who love a good grill dish and enjoy preparing it. It's kind of a mentality/philosophy thing, hence the name grillkultur.ch. We are not the ordinary bbq shop with all flames and big steaks logos screaming "look here, testosterone muscle heroes, that's what makes true men drip the drool out of their mouths" kind of a thing. It's also not a "haute cuisine snobby" thing. It is kind of matured with a lot of professional tradition and best quality while still being grill and masculine (without saying it). We prefer simple design.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
We prefer simple design. Even a design may be colored, it still should work as black&white as well.

The font is too ornate and playful.
The colors are great here, even if it's to as simple as I'd like it.
Simple and to the point, but the color doesn't fit for the grill/bbq niche.
It has a vintage touch that looks cool, yet it gives a hint of high quality.
The simplicity is great here, plus it has a playful touch and works with only one color. It's one of my absolute favorites!
Great simplicity and yet telling something sophisticated and pure.
Colors are cool and the vintage look, but it's too complicated and small.
I don't like faces/people on a logo, but other than that it has a good vintage touch that emphasizes tradition and quality.
Tradition and quality, but it's too "beery".
Simple and to the point, working in all sizes and colors, that's really great work here.
We need a logo, but as a derivative thereof we'll also need a very simple version of it we can use when there is only very little space or the logo appears very small (like in the header of the mobile webshop, for thumbnails, as favicon/symbol, to use as a metal stamp to burn it into wood etc.), ok? Furthermore, there should be a version each that works on dark and light backgrounds.
