Logo design for high-end knife brand

high quality kitchen knives and other knives. mostly damascus steel japanese and chinese style knives. important: the logo needs to be simple enough to be engraved into a knive blade. logo could also have a reference to a japanese or chinese character sign. we thought to combine the name Amethyst with the chinese character for knife 刀 at the end. target audience probably mainly male age 30-60, western europe. cooking and knife enthusiasts.

I’m mostly interested in wordmark and abstract logos, but I’m open to all ideas. Most first designs contain a circle probably from the reference image we uploaded. The circle is not a must. Would be interesting to see more designs without circle as well.
