Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
CIFER is a consortium of professionals from higher education and research institutions building Identity and Access Management open-source software solutions. Is is a cooperation across multiple existing higher ed technology Communities. (i.e. Internet2, Kuali, Apereo, etc.) It's mission is to create an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Framework. (architecture blueprints, standard API's, common audit and reporting tools, etc.) The target audience is IAM professionals at universities that have to install, setup and manage complex software that tracks who people are and what systems and data they can have access to. The framework involves architectural domains of Identity Registries, Authorization, Access Management, Authentication, and Provisioning and Integration.
