- Red squirrel
It was a real pleasure working with Red squirrel. She was responsive and willing to go the extra mile. Her design work stood out among the rest of many designers who submitted their work. Hope to work with her again in the future.
How Ericc22 Z started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
The Twisted Tulip
What’s your company slogan?
Local drinks and eats
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Twisted Tulip is a cafe, focused on serving gourmet coffee, tea, and snacks. We provide people a place to get away from it all. An affordable luxury, where locals can come to find refreshment and relaxation.
Our shop is in a busy suburb of NYC. We want to provide a haven, where people can come for an A+ beverage and snack, and be treated with excellence. The logo needs to speak to this. It needs to be warm and strong and clear.
Our target audience is mostly suburban parents in their mid 40s and up, and their kids.
*************** Please, explore lots of ideas! Initial designs have shown actual tulips and I’d love to see other ideas. This could be an abstract tulip, or something entirely different that represents what we are doing. Look at designs other than circles as well. Be sure to incorporate the tag line. Have fun with it and do experiment!!!!!
ALSO - PLEASE READ THIS TOO - We are a coffee shop and not a florist. Make sure the use of tulip, if you use it which you don’t have to, does not make us look like a florist. Google around to see how the tulip works for coffee - check out ‘latte art.’
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The logo will show up on cards, and signs, so has to be reproduceable in both formats. Think simple and strong. The store speaks to bespoke/handmade traditions so consider that with logo. Please, no cursive fonts though. Also see the attached brand book but note that the name of the business is no longer Solshine - it is The Twisted Tulip. As an FYI, the tulip is an important design in high-end coffee shops. Our baristas will craft a tulip in the top of a drink. This latte art is a sign of a great drink. With that said, please do not be too literal with the tulip.
And please, do not put anything that is obviously speaking to coffee in the logo. So no coffee cups, beans, etc. We want to brand the feeling that we are providing. And coffee is the star of the shop but we provide much more than that.
