OASIS
We are a group of international energy and banking professionals (centered in London but based around the world) who are focused on providing project financing and letters of credit to facilitate energy projects and to facilitate energy trades. We also dabble in some non-energy related investments (primarily building projects), but always in the developing world (very often Africa).
Government agencies, other banks, energy brokers, oil companies, oil service companies, power companies, international aid agencies etc.
Clear simple design, that is fresh yet still seems "corporate". In other words we're looking for something that provides an image of being innovative and helpful but still very solid, stable and trustworthy.
An added consideration is that we're an "oasis" in that we're a source of funds at a time when the rest of the financial landscape is a bit of a desert in terms of startup funding. That said we don't want something that is too literally an oasis... but it is an imagery you may want to keep in mind...
We'll also probably have a preference for corporate colors and at most one or two colors in the logo. So the designer needs to look for something simple, solid, relatively uncolorfu.... that looks bank-like and which could perhaps allude to the concepts of International / Global; energy; and / or Oasis.... or something completely different.
The other thing to keep in mind is that this is going to the logo for a Group of companies... so we may want to add the word "Group", "Finance" , "Energy" or "Power" etc under the name Oasis depending on the subsidiary we are talking about at the time. Just let me know if you have any other questions.
