Calbanetti got their new logo design by running a design contest:
New Logo to Celebrate Citizen Action of New York's 30th Anniversary
Check out Calbanetti's Logo design contest…
30 or 30th Anniversary or 30 Years
Citizen Action of New York is a community organizing group that works at the grassroots to win policy and electoral campaigns. We advocate for social, economic and racial justice. We use a variety of tactics to achieve our goals, including leadership development, direct action protests and demonstrations, door-to-door canvassing, community meetings, and more. We need a special logo to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Ideally, the new logo should build off our current logo, attached, but we do not like the font and lines through the word "action" in the current logo. Our logo was designed in 1983, and we want a modernized, current look for the 30th anniversary logo.
Logo types to explore
We need a logo that is specifically to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It should be similar in overall aspect ratio to our current logo, and the color must remain the same. It'll be used on our website and in print materials that will keep the same design, so it must be consistent with what we already have, but we want to change the font and we are not happy with the lines through the word "action." Overall, the logo needs a modern update. The logo should convey both the organization's full name (Citizen Action of New York) and that it is our 30th anniversary year. The logo should NOT use an acronym (i.e., please don't use CANY). The logo should also convey direct action/social justice/political movement.
