The Ronco del Gelso is the best model for what I want to achieve in this logo: it conveys motion, generates visual interest, and has the elegance you expect from a wine related product/service. The LOVE sign gives added elements of fun and bold simplicity.
The MTA subway map gives direction on the background for the logo (which is required). I would like to see the names of wines (Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc) used as stops on the map. So, the logo for Caravin should exist within the background map and also be able to exist on its own.
I want the colour scheme to be bold, fun and highly legible. The Mondrian and Agam images show the tone of whimsical use of colour in a bold way.
The other images--New Balance, Meals on Wheels--are there to further the point of motion, but the Ronco design is the inspiration.
Imagine the trailer in the photo attached going down the highway: you should be able to read the Caravin logo and understand quickly what it is while driving 70 miles an hour. Also, bear in mind this logo will exist in print, web, and most importantly, on the Caravin trailer itself.
