Cyborg nailed my design - taking all of my guidance and synthesizing it into the logo I could not have designed. And in the end when I wanted options he delivered! I look forward to doing business with Cyborg again in the future
How Avalon Labs LLC started their logo design journey
RallyStream is an online collaboration and project management website. We are creating a tool that helps teammates working in different physical areas know what everyone else is working on. To communicate this information we use a Twitter-like "stream" interface (hence the name "RallyStream"). The company is being started by two really good friends who have a lot of experience in online start-ups. We have helped others build successful Internet businesses, and now it's time to start our own!
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Although we are using elements from social media sites like Facebook and Twitter in our design, this tool is not meant for everyone. We expect small to mid-sized companies to be our main bread and butter, although we do expect other people to use this site in ways we do not yet expect (such as classmates working on a team project or volunteers organizing an event). We want our logo to be professional so that it's taken seriously by both companies and more informal teams alike.
We want the following items in either .pds or .ai formats:
1. A long rectangular logo that uses our name, "RallyStream." Please display the logo on a light and dark background.
2. A symbol that represents our company and can stand on its own. Please display the symbol on a light and dark background.
3. A 16 pixel x 16 pixel icon (preferably a smaller version of the #2 symbol) that web browsers can display in tabs and next to our URL.
We're really open in what we want to see, as long as the logo itself looks professional enough to sell to mid-sized (50-100 people) businesses. We'll be giving lots of feedback to all entrants so you know early on what we like and don't like. If we like a design you submit, but would like to see it in a different color, we'll ask. Feel free to submit frequently.
Any other questions you have, please let us know. Thanks!
