Logo & Banner for OceanDoctor Blog

Need an original, engaging logo and banner for the OceanDoctor blog, which covers ocean conservation and exploration issues. Ideally, the logo would convey the awe and wonder of the ocean world and the fact that the "ocean doctor" is there to care for the health of the oceans. The blog will be moving to a new self-hosted platform, so this is an opportunity for some exciting new branding.

The blog will be moving to a new self-hosted platform, so this is an opportunity for some exciting new branding.

I want to encourage spirited creativity and fresh ideas. One caveat is that the logo needs to convey the concept of ocean conservation and/or exploration and take care to avoid confusion with a medical doctor, lest it seem that the blog is about an M.D. who spends time at sea, etc. Some recurring themes in my work and posts are: sea turtles, coral reefs, and deep sea exploration, though none of these are required elements for the logo. The first post of the OceanDoctor blog explains the origin of the moniker.
