How Glen79 started their logo design journey
Our company name is Sphenic Technologies based in Kemptville, Ontario, Canada. We are a clean energy (green) company focusing on improving combustion efficiency and lowering emissions by controlling the fuel burning process with plasma ionization. Our process applies to fossil fuels and bio fuels. We care about the environment and want to produce products that help reduce the consumers carbon foot print and overall energy consumption.
Our company is launching its first product called SPDI-Spark (pronounced Speedy Spark)
SPDI stands for Spatial Plasma Discharge Ignition.
SPDI-Spark can be used on internal combustion engines and open flame gas burning processes.
Initially SPDI-Spark will be used on cars, trucks, motorcycles, boat motors, lawn mowers etc to achieve greater performance while using less fuel and generating less emmissions.
Our SPDI tag line is: More Power, Less Fuel
In the future we hope to also produce SPDI based units for oil and gas fired furnaces.

Ourlong term goal is to get SPDI installed on manufacturers vehicles (toyota, Ford, Honda, etc) To reach this goal we need to initially establish our products as aftermarket alternatives to gain credibility and market acceptance.
Our initial target audience is the aftermarket automotive tuner. We need to create a market presence in the automotive tuner market to gain credibility with original equipment manufacturers. The typical customer is a 39 yr old male, owns 3 or more cars and likes to upgrade their vehicle for appearance and performance. They are likely to read magazines such as Grass Roots Motorsports. http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com They are also likely to compete in motorsports events/shows or wish to compete in these events.

We want to project an image that will attract the aftermarket performance tuners but is also conservative enough to be attractive to large scale manufacturers such as Toyota, Ford, Honda etc. who we hope will be interested in our clean energy approach.
The goal is to design a SPDI-Spark Logo
The SPDI-Spark logo will be used on
-product material (packaging, documentation, instruction sheets)
-promotial material (hats, shirts, banners, brochures)
-product (example product picture attached)
-Auto Racing Performance (yes it is possible to be clean and still promote performance)
1) I like simplicity
2) A version of the logo will be silk screened onto an anodized aluminum plate that will be part of the product. The plate will be approximately 50mm x 40mm.
-A single colour is required. for example: White silk screen on blue anodized plate.
-The logo should be recognizable when it is presented in a single colour.
-The size of the logo on the product should be no larger than 20mm x 20mm
3) A version of the logo will be used on clothing.
