Art & Design
Paperlandmarks make paper model kits of famous architecture. The kits are mostly sold to hobbyists and schoolchildren for school projects, but we have an emerging group of customers that use our models as centrepieces in home decor or events and also as a cool gift for someone. We have an existing logo that we want to change and have created some designs in-house but would rather see if designers here can be up to a better concept.
Other color requirements
One or two colours - no halftones or gradients
We are mostly interested in combination logos, but also open to wordmark, pictorial, abstract or any other bold ideas. The logo should be timeless and work well with many different media - our website (paperlandmarks.com) and social media, as well as packaging. Logo should be memorable, with some sort of a hidden message, a light brain-teaser, something that makes to think for a few seconds. Message should be - paper modelling is a great crafting activity, yet it is precise and patient hobby. Enjoy architecture through cutting, folding gluing paper parts. A logo you would appreciate on a gift you receive. Shape-wise - something that is compact, fits within an IMAGINITIVE square, circle or a rectangle up to a golden ratio, but probably having a rectangular or elipse border is not a good idea. It could be geometry-based but not too stiff as a logo made usually for law firms. 3D box is a non-starter as it is widely used for packaging companies. We do like geometric rhythmic patterns, hand lettering, also negative space or an optical illusion would be a great start point but please don’t stop there - we would look through all the ideas and give as much feedback as we can. And as always, less is more. Colours - black and white, with an optional third colour, for example, green #75B72A . Please no halftones or gradients. I’m attaching several logos and patterns that inspired us but these are by no means what should be replicated or incorporated.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at $299.
