How Arcade City started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
People-powered ridesharing startup, aiming to disrupt Uber and the other big sharing economy corps using peer-to-peer networks. Target audience are consumers that need rides and drivers to provide them -- primarily people who have used Uber/Lyft in the past and are ready for the next evolution of ridesharing.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We don’t need the words “Arcade City” included, just a very specific shape including A and C: basically the attached icon of the play button inside the circle... except the circle should be flipped so the circle looks like a C... and that triangle is right-side up so it looks like an A. Not sure if we want that third short line along the bottom or if we just want an inverted V -- we'll see what you folks come up with.
The overall graphic style we're going for is sleek and futuristic purple. Two examples:
That raw vector icon will be used in many places throughout our website in various colors, and also as the centerpiece of our mobile app icon.
Your final result may look something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEXWfnKxqBc with a white AC icon we can repaint in whatever color, and a background gradient in the purple/pink/blues similar to the style from the Retrowave video above.
I hope that communicates the general direction. Please feel free to innovate on that however you like. Excited to see what you come up with!
