How Johnclyde.hill started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Amplified Ale Works
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a nano-brewery in San Diego that produces handcrafted ales. Using a variety of unique and unorthodox ingredients, our beers are designed to heighten the sensory enjoyment of beer by maximizing aromatic qualities, flavor profiles, body, and overall impression of the suds in your glass.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
All of our beers have a rock and roll theme and are often named after classic rock and heavy metal songs of the 70's and 80's. The vision behind the logo is to make it look like a Marshall guitar ampilfier, with the same text, and have the bottom line read "Ale Works." The logo should be raw, and have connotations of power, loud rock, sizzling guitar riffs, etc, just like the quality and characteristics of our beers. I would also like to have an abbreviated version of the logo - I envision this as an emblem with the silhouette of a guitar rocker. I've attached the exact image we would like to represent our brand (rocker silhouette jpg). Is there a way you could make his hand that's in the air be holding onto a beer bottle? This way it can tie back to the beer theme. One way beer bottle labels and shirts could read would include "Amplified" at the top, rocker emblem in middle, and name of the beer (or "Ale Works") at the bottom in the same text as the Marshall amp logo. I'm sure there are many other creative ways to explore using these elements so we look forward to what your designers can do!
