Nothing nut the best from Krusto. I was a liitle skeptical going into the contest if i would find what I was looking for but Krusto nailed it. Great experience all around. Really responsive to feedback and was always very timely with his revisions. Will definitely work with him again.

LearningWorks, a non-profit organization, operates on multiple levels to improve the learning environment in the California Community Colleges. It includes instructors’ professional development, enhancing their teaching skills, with students always at the center. The idea is to focus on effective, evidenced based practices that really help students succeed and reach their goals, and to help more instructors develop and implement these practices. And, in turn, LearningWorks seeks to inform the whole community college system about what works – in order to drive changes which can support these efforts.

‘LearningWorks’ is one word, but we would like the ‘W’ to be capitalized.
‘LearningWorks’ can be confused to be saying that “learning is good, one should learn and so therefore it works” but the concept is really about “ the job of teaching” and all the systems, research and techniques that support that job, figuring out what makes people learn.
There is also a bit of a play on words here, as we also emphasize the important connections between work and education. Opportunities to apply skills—where students connect hand, heart and head—is key to effective learning.
LearningWorks’ founding included the thinking of broad cross-section of people concerned about student success in community colleges. Founding partners include three organizations the Career Ladders Project, the Research and Planning Group (RP Group), and the California Community Colleges Success Network (3CSN).
