AQOL needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 99 designs submitted by 34 freelance designers.
AQoL
AQoL is an acronym for “Assessment of Quality of Life”, we’ve created a series of questionnaires and now we are creating a new stand-alone website and need a logo.
We are researchers at Monash University's Centre for Health Economics, our set of Quality of Life questionnaires measure a person's life quality. The new website will be used solely to disseminate and promote the use of these questionnaires.
http://www.buseco.monash.edu.au/cen…/che/aqol/ - that’s our Monash website, there’s lots of information about our research and about us. Very wordy.
The AQoL questionnaires can be used for both clinical and research applications in the fields of economic evaluation in health sector, such as evaluating medical interventions, educational programs, as well as use in psychology research.
Researchers and Clinicians - who need, above all, a sensitive and comprehensive questionnaire to measure quality of life and do economic evaluations of health changes.
The Media and Governmental Advisors - the website will have press releases and educational materials.
The logo will be used on the website, on posters, on the questionnaires themselves and on brochures and pamphlets and for all correspondence.
Audience – all ages and both genders.
This is the website of one of our competitors http://www.euroqol.org/ Obviously we don't want to copy their logo, but I thought you could take a look to understand the feel we're looking for.
We'd like to use the acronym AQoL in a modern style.
The questionnaires have global applications, they have been designed with thoroughly sound foundations and techniques, they are very sensitive and sophisticated at measuring health improvements, measuring benefits, measuring value for money, measuring what is efficient.
They have been designed for economic evaluation and their main strength is sensitivity and accuracy.
We'd like to impart a sense of ‘refined’, ‘sharp’, ‘well-defined’, ‘clear’.
The website is using a range of blues as the colour scheme.
No clip art please, and if possible we’d like a favicon from the logo.
We’ll need the images in files suitable for the web and for printing.
