Knowmad Law is a boutique law firm providing low-cost intellectual property and business services (trademark registrations, contracts, low-complexity enforcement and litigation) targeted towards start-ups, small businesses and individuals.

What I'm envisioning for the logo is a mounted Mongol archer (or maybe another sort of nomadic warrior like a Comanche) firing backwards on his horse. I mocked up the attached sketch myself, which I'm fairly happy with, but I'm looking for something a little cleaner. The concept behind the "Knowmad Law" brand, in addition to hopefully evoking the idea of "digital nomads," is that the legal needs of small businesses have changed, much like warfare suddenly changed in the 13th century. Traditional law firms are like the old complacent medieval kingdoms, still fielding armies of heavily armored infantry. Knowmad Law is the invading horsemen from the Steppes, leveraging technology (stirrups for Genghis Khan; the Internet for us), innovative tactics and unprecedented mobility to encircle our clumsy counterparts.
