JHage got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Launch an exciting new conference company

Medical & Pharmaceutical
UPDATE TO BRIEF: We don't want the letters DGE as part of the iconic element. UPDATE TO BRIEF: Please, no more concepts involving a globe. UPDATE TO BRIEF: Dynamic is the most important word in our name. Treat it accordingly. ++++ We produce corporate conferences, never with more than 300 attendees. We do not do huge "trade shows" with rows and rows of booths. Executives attend our shows. Our guests can expect: - one-on-one customer service, understanding we actually do care about their experience very much; it's not about getting their money - top speakers from industry - we bring the right people together and you will be able to talk one-on-one with people you want to meet; imagine, 5-10 minutes of getting to know one another and exchanging business cards with the full intention of actually following up the week after the event - educational but not like we're just sitting there as the "smart people" talk from the stage. "We guests" are equally smart, we don't happen to be presenting at this particular event, but you can be sure, our questions will clearly indicate that we "get" what you're saying and can build on it - the privilege of rating the speakers to help determine future agendas and speakers Our sponsors can expect: - a call after the event (not a survey, but a one-on-one conversation) to learn what they liked and didn't like; did they get the return on their investment - the person who sold you the sponsorship will also be your point of contact for everything; he'll help you the day of the event as well - superlative customer care, we really do care.
Other color requirements
UPDATE TO BRIEF: While blues and grey are expected, we want at least one other color involved, preferably on the brighter side of the color spectrum.
The only creative mandatory is: The words "Dynamic Global Events" must appear. We want them to be able to stack for situations where portrait works better than landscape as well as left-to-right, for situations were landscape is better. Know we make events exclusively (in this order of importance): pharmaceutical medical device biotech healthcare When we settle on the right design, we will need treatments so the logo could work against a pure black background and another that works against a pure white background, and other possibilities to accommodate other background situations. We would like to see some ideas which treat the initials DGE in a stylized fashion; perhaps where the DGE is the fundamental element in the logo design. (We do NOT want the letters DGE to be shown in any kind of "monogrammed" fashion. That is, if you think the letters could appear on a shirt sleeve, we will reject it.) While we're open to the concept of a "globe," don't overdo it because many companies use the cliched "globe" to say, "Look at us! We're a GLOBAL company, get it?!" We want to avoid logos that would take up too much space. We've attached an example we hate. +++ The client is very particular about font choices. Nothing that looks "too bland" or "too 70s" or "too childlike" or "too scripted." Examples of fonts she likes include: http://www.fontspace.com/herofonts/above-demo https://www.dafont.com/dream-orphans.font because they are clean, modern fonts.
