Agriculture company primary involved in selling seed to farmers (corn being primary crop). The name Lancaster stems from a famous land race corn variety which is a foundation of many corn hybrids today, but also after my grandfather who flew lancaster bombers in WW2. I don't expect the logo to incorporate any of that history (especially since aviation has no relevance to my business) but maybe it has some influence on colours or design factors.
Seed sales to farmers is a relationship driven business, where trust is paramount so I want a logo that is clean, relatively simple and will help to portray that trusting and professional feel but also reflects the progressive nature of the business I run. If you were to incorporate a crop into the logo I would prefer it to be corn as my goal is to be perceived as a specialist in this area, however I also sell wheat, soybeans and other niche crops. Hipster type designs don't typically work well in agriculture, seed is a high cost and emotional purchase for the grower so I want to avoid anything that cheapens the appearance of the company. I wouldn’t mind a slightly bolder feel to the logo either, these tend to fair better on a bag of seed than something that would go on the front of an accounting office. Keeping it relatable to a farmer yet free of too much corporate feel is a key element.
Customers can range in age from 25-65, however many of the progressive customers I am targeting will be 25-35 years old who don't necessarily have long developed relationships with other organizations. Agriculture has become a very progressive industry and I want my company to portray that we are innovative, while retaining a trusting appearance.

I like the approachability of the design, the calm colour scheme and the clean lines.
I do like a vintage design done well, for its industry I thought this had a good feel, wouldn’t work for agriculture likely but lots of great classic seed brand logo designs out there.
Complexity worked well in this type of design, but still feels clean. Very unique.
Rich bold design.
Initial designs have a very corporate feel, almost like I would expect them to exist on the front of an accounting office. I need something that is relateable to a blue collar workforce, but clean and respectable.
