Amazing job. Quick responses. And really understood what we were going for with the logo concept.
Nice work. Very, very responsive.

How SheldonCho started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Kaimana Jerky is a gourmet jerky company. We specialize in Ahi (Tuna) Jerky and Marlin Jerky. All of our jerky is made on the big island of Hawaii. We produce artisan quality fish jerky sourced from the Pacific Ocean. Our consumer base has been primarily Hawaii but would like a logo that appeals internationally.
The big island of Hawaii where our jerky is made has 5 volcanic mountains 2 of which are world famous. Mauna Kea is known for its snow capped peak and Kilauea is a active volcano which continues to spew out lava. If there is any way to incorporate this along with the "power of the sea" perhaps by waves, current, etc.. that would be great! Also something subtle that hints we are a gourmet seafood/jerky producer would help. Nothing that stands out to much. We will eventually branch out into other forms of seafood besides Ahi Tuna and Marlin in the future so we need more of a all purpose logo!
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

Kaimana means "Power of the sea" in the Hawaiian language. It is also the Hawaiian transcription of the English word diamond.
We specialize in Ahi Tuna Jerky and Marlin Jerky. Our primary market is here in Hawaii but would like a logo that's not too tropical. I would to see earthy color tones with simple clean lines. We would like to eventually branch off into selling other seafood and beef jerky products so a pictorial element of one distinctive fish may limit our market. Perhaps a pictorial element with the sea and land would allow us to expand. I like the look of some artisan food companies and small craft beer logos. Simple, earthy, natural, etc...
