We need a logo we can use on our signs, menus, advertising and more. The Iron Horse Grills name is a reference to our towns heritage as a railroad town. In the Victorian era (late 1800's), Iron Horse was a nickname for a steam locomotive. Wed like the logo design to incorporate an 1800's steam locomotive in some fashion. It needs to be more bold and stylized, not just a profile of a steam engine. The font needs to be easily readable as we will be using it for signage, not only for menus etc. We'd like the design to be more dramatic and dynamic than static. Something with a sense of motion and power, given that our key item included is a steam locomotive. The decor will be Black, gray, and Deep Red with some white and silver accents. Light fixtures will use edison type filament bulbs and have a very vintage feel. Dark wood and iron fixtures. Keep in mind that we are looking to convey that 1800's steam engine feel, not just railroad in general. It might be neat to explore the possibility of incorporating a dramatic horse into the design as well, somehow juxtaposed with the stem locomotive seeing that the "iron Horse" began to replace the actual horse for transportation during that era. What ever color scheme you decide on, the design needs to work in monochrome as well because it will be used in print ads and in window graphics.
