When I think of the word Integrative I think of circles or all encompassing; spirituality, energy (as in Auras), biosphere and colored smoke, and Qi (or life force energy). When I think of orthopedic i think of bones, structure and crystals (like quartz, this ties in well with the energetic systems of the body).
The work I do is complementary/contradictory within itself. It is very compassionate and understanding yet some of the techniques employed are very aggressive and forceful (and painful) because sometimes it is only though suffer that healing may take place.
I work with people recovering from injuries and surgeries, athletes trying to stay at the top of their game, individuals with psycho-emotional trauma. Most of my massage work is more health, clinical and therapeutic oriented and less spa/relaxation/luxury related. Although my services are on the more expensive side.
As for the colors, the reason I liked those was their associations: specifically;
Green: Healing, Success, Growth
White: Healing, Perfection, Virtue
Blue: Knowledge, Trust
Black: Formal (I think professional), Luxury
Purple: Royalty, Wisdom, Spirituality, Imagination
I think I like the idea of darker shades of these colors. Not sure how I would feel about a bright blue or green, but i am definitely willing to see a variety of ideas.
I love double entendres and multidimensionality.
Some other sources that i like are sacred geometry (PI and Phi) (don't put the flower of life in it though), anatomy (think Leonardo da Vinci) and traditional Chinese medicine (i dont want it to be blatantly oriental though).
The design of this logo will probably drive the design of my website and business card as well as promotional materials. There is definitely potential for future business for the winner.
