• What we do MentorU is a counselling and mentorship service, aiming to help upper-year high school and post-secondary students gain a better understanding of their desired academic and career paths, and assisting them in deciding on which universities to apply to. Additionally, we aim to help students identify their own skills and interests in order help them connect those skills to possible career/ life paths. This is completed through individual coaching sessions as well as speaking engagements (motivational) and group workshops. • What are the benefits of your product/service? An expert with vast knowledge in the field to provide insights and guidance in navigating through large amounts of information and providing objective perspective to help narrow the search and provide valuable assistance in the decision making process. This makes the student’s search both more meaningful and efficient. The positive effects that this guidance can have in both the short and long-run include: improved self-confidence and self-worth, a more positive attitude to their future, cost and time savings, reduced stress and anxiety related to the uncertainty of their future.
