Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a specialty summer program for intellectually gifted children ages 5-12. Children can choose 3 multidisciplinary, fast-paced, in depth, classes that are academic in nature but fun first. The goal is to provide curriculum at the right level and lots of opportunities to be creative. These students often find themselves bored in school and check out mentally or emotionally, so this program is to be sure these kids are challenged and can maintain their love of learning because it's at the right academic level. It also provides opportunities for children to be with like-leveled peers, which can prove to them that there are other kids like them in the world. Otherwise if they are in the minority in a class, they often camouflage their abilities so they aren't teased. In summary, the program can not only meet their intellectual needs, but also help them socially and emotionally. This can be life changing for both the child and their entire family.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
I prefer bright colors, but not necessarily primary colors. The logo should be bight and colorful, attractive to both children and parents.

Class subjects include combinations of science, art, math, drama, technology, social studies, drama, music, cooking, and economics. Avoid the overused open brain with subjects or questions coming out. These kids do ask a lot of questions but just want the opportunity to learn just like other students. In US society we celebrate and admire athletic high ability but high intellectual ability is often envied, viewed as weird and often wasted. Parents of these kids are sometimes viewed as wanting more for their children than others or than they deserve, but they really just want the same-an opportunity for their kids to learn new information and not always be presented with curriculum that they already know.
