Dear designer community, so first we made the mistake of opening the contest to entry-level designers, which resulted in 1000+ mainly auto-generated, off-briefing designs of poor quality. Please stop „contributing“, if you’re not interested in shaping the future of our company‘s visual appearance with a truly custom made piece of art. Thank you! Second, our briefing was poor. Let us get this right: We are a digital start-up — we develop and sell apps that greatly boost productivity of architects and engineers. We chose the name „Beam“ not because our work has anything to do with structural beams or lasers — but our products should be the foundation for our clients to improve their work and its efficiency. Our products stand for a great user experience! We are the „Apple“ of architectural modeling software. They are modern, super easy to use and help architects and engineers to focus on the goal, not the software they have to use. So what‘s the environment of a typical user? They work in 3D. They model buildings using a wireframe, low polygon count or shaded renderer. Sometimes — particularly at the end — they choose a material renderer to share their vision of the building. We want our logo to be associated with the following: - Modern - Minimalistic - Abstract - Magic - our customers donˋt know how our products work - they just do a great piece of their work with a few clicks - Digital We donˋt have a certain vision of the logo, other than it should be able to be used as an icon only, but also with the text „Beam“ (optionally with our slogan „Software Solutions“.
