Information Security Group needs a cool logo!

ISSA Kentuckiana Chapter - IKC

We are the ISSA - Kentuckiana Chapter, aka IKC. We are a group in Louisville Kentucky who gather to do three things - learn about information security, network with other security pros, and have fun!

We have monthly meetings, hacking workshops, social events and a Security Conference.

We want to relay the fun but professional atmosphere of our chapter, to attract members and sponsors.

The target audience is anyone from the expert security professional, to the "white hat" hacker, to the student just learning the trade.

The audience is both technical and business oriented.

The logo should reflect the fun atmosphere, but not like a cartoon as it is a professional security group. I have no preconceived notions about what the logo should look like, so you're welcome to be creative. I will comment a lot to provide feedback.

Our chapter website is http://www.issa-kentuckiana.org. Our conference is http://www.louisvilleinfosec.com. The conference logo was picked from a contest on 99designs. You will be designing the new logo for the chapter. It will be used on the website, shirts, coffee mugs, etc., so it should stand out and be unique.

Requirements:

No locks or white hats.

No skylines.

The words "ISSA Kentuckiana Chapter" OR IKC must be in the logo. Might be best to make one of each for review.

Abstract designs are fine. It should be fun and professional.

The following are ideas but not requirements. I will give feedback as the logos come in.

The chapter is in Louisville so a "Fleur de lis" might look good to identify the city.

The ISSA International organization, of which we are a chapter, has a globe as part of their logo, so a nice-looking globe in the logo might look nice.
