Joe Pas submitted a very unique and eloquent design that incorporated the feelings I was hoping to portray with my logo. He also was open to hearing feedback and suggestions were made right away. It was a pleasure to work with Joe Pas!

SevenPlus is a reading programme for children who are older (i.e. reading at least at the age of a seven year old). It is designed as a short term intervention to bring struggling readers up the the same ability as their classmates.
The target audience will be teachers of children between the ages of 7 and 13 plus other professionals who are involved in early literacy teaching.

The SevenPlus product is a programme that primary school teachers will use. It would be helpful for the logo to imply that it is about reading and designed for children who are reading as a seven years old or higher- hence 7+, Some of the designs thus far have had a image to go with the text but they have been too generic and lack sophistication. I would like the words 'reading intervention' included using a school friendly font like chalkboard. I don't want the design to look too busy or leave the viewer trying to interpret it. I guess I am looking for a blend of clever, clean, simple and obvious. Also this is an intervention which means it is a short term change, Think about using the words 'sevenplus' traveling into a book an perhaps the words 'reading intervention' placed running down the outside of the book. This gives the idea that the intervention is opening the book.
