Goal - to create a logo which communicates that Berlin Belly is a modern, diverse (!), conversational and approachable podcast, aimed at men and women listeners who are interested in food and Berlin.
It is very important to me that Berlin Belly is a diverse podcast, not only featuring white women.
Style - modern, organic, hand-drawn
Note - I would like to communicate characteristics like strength, innovation, leadership and playfulness - all of the women I interview for the podcast possess these traits.
• I love illustrated/hand drawn style (see attachments), and it would be amazing for the logo to feature EITHER a woman's face OR vegetables OR a microphone into the design, if that is possible.
NOTE: All three elements may make the logo too busy, but if you can fit them, go for it.
Byron - I like this logo which has fun elements around the name.
after seeing the first entries, I think the log will need to have the words "food podcast" incorporated into the logo somewhere, feel free to play around with placement.
Autumn colours - I love the colour palette in this artwork by Anke Wenkmann
Coffee - example of a hand drawn font I like
Cabbage - the watercolour style is nice and I like the idea of a cabbage in the logo, as a typical German food :)
Girls - the women in this illustration are portraying strength and personality, I really like that they're looking head on
the vintage microphone - this is a bit literal. but since it's a podcast and we all speak into microphones, it is an element of the show. I wouldn't like the microphone to be central piece of the logo
Rosie the riveter - this image is from World War II, representing the American women who worked in factories and shipyards, typical jobs held by men at the time.
tattoo radish - I love these botanical drawings and this tattoo artist did an amazing job. Tattoos are very Berlin, if that inspires you to create a logo in a tattoo style, go for it.
the wood - I like the natural, homey, welcoming characteristics of wood
me - I uploaded a selfie of me so you have something to work off of if you base the woman's face on my (this would be cool). Reddish hair, blue eyes and freckles would even be cool to see!
DON'T - no pink or cupcakes please.
