New Identity Needed for Adult Sports League

OUR MESSAGE: We want a logo or emblem that reflects this simple idea - When you want to play sports, you want to play in a DC SOCIAL sports league.   We want this logo or emblem to reflect a standard.  A specific quality in the referees that officiate the games, the type of fields and facilities where games are played, and the level of administrative support and customer service that players can expect.   ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND: DC SOCIAL is the most active sport & social club for young professionals in the Washington, DC, area. Although we started out as a primarily a "social club" playing kickball and flip cup, DC SOCIAL has now grown to become one of the comprehensive sports leagues in the area. In fact, we rival many parks & recreation departments in the number of programs offered as well as the number of constituents served. We currently offer nearly 20 different activities (some "sports" probably aren't sports - like skeeball) throughout the year. Moreover, we offer sport programs at various skill levels - whether it's pick-up games, social games for fun, recreational leagues for a balanced experience, competitive leagues for ranking, or a chance to join the travel team for national tournaments. DC SOCIAL hosts nearly 20 different sports with flag football, volleyball, soccer, and softball being the most popular. Additional sports include bar games, basketball, bowling, broomball, cornhole, dodgeball, floor hockey, inner tube water polo, running, sand volleyball, street hockey, raquetball, and ultimate frisbee. ABOUT OUR CLIENTS: Our clients are busy, type A-personality professionals, that want to be active and competitive at a high level but - at the same time - meet like-minded people without the burdens of organizing sports (e.g. officiating, equipment duty). The target market are single, college-educated men & women between the ages of 25 and 35. These are professionals with an active social and personal life outside their 9-to-5 jobs.

We don't want designers to be constrained by the the letters "DC."  In fact, there's only so many permutations to arrange DC (e.g. cannot be similar to Washington National's "DC" or "DC" Shoes.).  Shapes and Emblems would suffice as well (see ZogSports, VAVI, District Sports as examples above).
