How monroeanimaldr started their logo design journey
Monroe Animal Health
My husband & I own a veterinary hospital. He practices medicine and I manage the office. After 11 years of ownership and operation from the existing facility, we are in the process of building a new hospital in a highly visible location. We practice high quality medicine on small animals (dog and cats only). We want our hospital to be professional and comfortable but not so over-the-top our clients are always looking for fees to go up. In comparison to other veterinarians in town, we belong to the younger generation. Our doctors are highly skilled and our staff friendly and helpful. Our hospital is a full service facility. We offer in-house diagnostics, in-house pharmacy, surgery, health maintenance, prescription diets as well as boarding including luxury suites. We focus on quality medicine not trends or retail pet supplies.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Since we are relocating an existing business to a more visible location on a main highway, our audience is mainly the traffic driving past our hospital everyday. Monroe is a mid-size town in northeast Louisiana. We are targeting our existing clients to follow us and well as attract new clients. Monroe is the home to a state university but also has older established corporations and families.
We specifically need an identifying icon to mount on the outside of our building above the front doors for clients to recognize as a veterinary hospital. The area dedicated to the logo/icon is approximately 9 feet wide and 7 feet tall. This is a massive space, however our building does sit 40 yards off of the highway. Small details will not be visible. We would also like to incorporate the design on the interior of the building as focal art behind the reception desk. In addition the logo will be used on our exterior sign, uniforms, letterhead and business cards. I have attached a rendering of the building. The winning design will be the main attraction displayed were the "M" is currently shown on the rendering. The brick will probably be a darker color and the stucco will be a complimentary color to the brick. Our metal finish for the entire building is brushed aluminum. The logo will be lit at night most likely in a fashion similar to the heart logo night attachment. The heart logo attached is a logo that we like very strongly. (We would actually use it, if someone had not already claimed it.) It incorporates the medical cross, paw print and heart. It speaks "caring medical facility for animals". That's what we are. After day 1 of competition, I realize there is a lot of talent out there. Therefore, I do not want to limit your design. Think outside of the box and give me your personal design. I just want to make sure we are not missing what may be the new us. Thank you.
