Hockey Logo To Be Used On a Hat

My organization runs a hockey school based in Toronto, Canada. I am looking to design a very clean, simple and professional logo to be placed on a hat for kids to wear. My target audience are primarily 10-16 year olds ...The colours that I am leaning towards are black/gold...but I would also be open to black/silver combo and even possibly incorporating the colour red into the design somehow (red symbolizing Canada).

Please see the attached logo that my company already uses. In my current logo, you will see that the letter 'T' looks like a combination of the CN Tower (a prominent Toronto landmark) as well as a hockey stick. I am really looking at taking this portion of my logo and making it an image onto itself that I can put on a hat. Thus, I am looking for something sporty...Some sports logos that I like that you will find on hats include: The Tampa Bay Lightening Hockey Team which puts a lightening bolt enshrined within a circle. I like this one the most. That said, another possibility is something like the Philadelphia Phillies hat logo which is just the letter 'P'....In my case, I might be looking at using the letters TH for "Toronto Hockey"
