Couldn't be happier with the design we ended up with! The experience working with steamdesign was great!
The design was creative, the artist was constantly thinking of ways to make it better, I was really impressed all around. Thank you!!
Juan really took the time to understand the context of the ask and to design a solution that would appeal to a majority of stakeholders. When it was clear that we were going with Juan's design, Juan was very responsive to requests for tweaks and minor changes, up until the last stage. I would definitely work with Juan again.
Offered many options in a timely manner. Was aware of my needs and what I was looking for and delivered an awesome logo!

Kabinettskriege Productions is a new brand that focuses on historical research and education. Kabinettskriege (Cabinet + s + kreeg) is German for “Cabinet Wars” and refers to the wars fought between 1648 and 1789. Our scope includes not only the European conflicts but also the North American theaters as well. Our goal is to create/expand a community that enjoys debating and discussing the broad scope and individual details of 17th and 18th-century warfare.
Kabinettskriege is currently a successful blog and Facebook group run by writer and founder, Alex Burns who is a Ph.D Candidate at West Virginia University. The blog currently has an estimates 40,000 readers with between 11,000 to 15,000 views per month and we want to expand! Our plan is to launch a new website and podcast in 2020 and all of this requires a strong brand.
We need a logo. This will be the hallmark of the Kabinettskriege brand. We understand that having a foreign name can make things difficult but this name/brand already has a strong following and reputation that we are proud of and wish to see grow.
We would like a logo that has three main characteristics. It must have the “Kabinettskriege” name, to remain true to our base viewership. Iconic, to clearly show our concentration and interest in 17th and 18th century military history. Lastly, we need it to be accessible/recognizable in order to help attract new viewers.
We have included a reference sheet with logos we like as well as some imagery that we believe showcases our interests and concentrations. There are some suggested color pallets included below. These are guidelines and while they are in the general area of colors we wish to use we are open to other color ideas as well.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Please feel free to make slight adjustments to these colors but please stay within these same color families. It is also not required to use all of them but would be good to have them all.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
More fine detail than others but still unique and iconic. This is about as much fine detail we are interested in.
Iconic imagery, recognizable figure. Simple shapes without much fine detail.
Simple shapes without a lot of fine detail.
Historically recognizable figure.
These are soldiers from the time period we are focusing on and they're uniforms are the basis of our suggested color pallet.
Fredrick the Great was a major player during this time in history and european military history. Potentially another iconic image. Recognizable to our audaince
Prussain Grenadiers were some of the best soldiers in europe during this time and are a possible iconic figure to use. Not required but it's something that is easily recognized by our audience.
