Give a Dam
Give a Dam is a ten-year dam-building initiative of In Our Own Quiet Way (Quiet Way). We intend to build 1000 dams in the drought-stricken areas of Kenya over the course of the next 10 years. We need a brand that draws people in and compels them to learn more.
Quiet Way is a global non-profit organization dedicated to helping im-poverished or underdeveloped regions around the world develop practical, long-term solutions. Quiet Way accomplishes its mission by investigating and responding to the greatest needs ofsuffering communities, as defined by these communities, and then organizing a cooperative ef-fort with other non-profit organizations, businesses, governments and community groups. Underthis effort funds are consolidated, resources are pooled, and both are directed to serve thegreatest good. Quiet Way is committed to ensuring its efforts are resulting in positive change, and thus maintains close contact and accountability to those in need, as well as to social invest-ors.
The Youth Market (12-35)
The logo needs to hip and cool enough for kids to still want to buy a product with the logo on it.
Jerseys (MX, BMX, Wake, Snow) etc.
Embroidered on book bags
Stickers on skateboards, MX bikes, helmets etc.
Mini logos printed/integrated on boards
T shirts, hats, etc
A logo for the Give a Dam campaign. It needs to include a space where partners can put their own personalization in (15-20% of the logo open for customization)
If it can be on a shirt as the only logo and be appealing enough to have someone buy it, mission accomplished!
There should also be a consistant color scheme tied to the logo. So companies can use that color and make limited edition products in the GaD colorway. Headphones, watches, glasses, etc.
Blue is an obvious fit. But a specific and custom color would be best. See attached logo for the parent color scheme. (Quiet Way)
The typeface should be clear, simple and bold. EASY TO READ! We want something that stands out.
Iconic!
Please feel free to experiment with colors!
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Vector file format - .eps and .pdf
*Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo
