He was great to work with, I actually asked him to join my contest. I told him what designs of his I liked and why, which he added to my profile to design a logo. Also, he didn't make me dozens of logos to see if he could make something fit like others. He explained his first design, I made suggestions and he made the second (and final) design. Afterwards we discussed colors and card designs, and he gave good feedback.

Upscale party band. We play modern top 40 radio hits as well as classic party songs, and wedding ceremony/special requested music for weddings, corporate parties and festivals. The target audience is brides and grooms as well as corporate employees who want dance music for their company party. The goal of the logo is to appeal to upscale events with large budgets.

Layers add a nice sense of depth. It's bold, clean, good balance of curvy and straight lines
A 3d element might be cool but this one is too cartoon looking
A 3D element might be cool but this font is too basic
Good balance of curvy and straight font.
Nice--this looks classy and not too corporate
cool modern script, not too ornate, not too straight. The mascot is too cheesy for an upscale party band though.
This has a classy, upscale feel, but it's not quite modern, fun enough for our band
classy upscale feel, this is maybe a bit too snobby?
modern feel. We definitely need to portray a modern stylish feel
Logos using music symbols or instruments will likely look too cheesy and cliche, but are not a deal breaker. We are upscale, stylish, sexy, fun, mix of modern and classic. The key is finding a balance between classic and modern, and a balance between hipster and corporate. Too vintage or ornate will not convey how modern we are. However, script style might be used to emphasize our classy, upscale side. Modern fonts could also be used to show our modern side. Also a 3D element might be cool to emphasize the idea of "high definition" and the kind of high quality experience we provide. Colors should be bold, energetic, and modern feeling, because that's what our performances are.
