Avid JDIH'r got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Just Do It Herself or JDIH needs a new logo

The purpose of this business is to provide women with the knowledge and instructions on how to make minor repairs/updates to their homes that they would otherwise call a contractor for. They will acquire a new skill, save the cost of a contractor, and take care of the needed repair/update. My initial means of getting this information to them will be through ‘how to’ Ebooks via Amazon and my website.
Logo types to explore
My target audience is 'women' especially homeowners. My primary aim is to empower women with knowledge and confidence to make minor home repairs. The product will be a standalone E-book for each type of repair with very clear step by step instructions including a picture of each step. I will also post videos of myself completing each repair on my website. I want to stand out as a leader in the 'do it herself' realm as the demand continues to grow. A bold yet inviting logo seems fitting, simplicity is very attractive to me! I'm looking for that 'pop' factor, something that jumps of the page at me and 'wows' me. A logo that can easily be remembered. Creativity and art are not listed in my 'strengths' category, so I'm looking forward to all of your ideas! The only thing that is a bit of a deterrent for me is animation. I would entertain the 'word mark' style in addition to the three that I selected. Thank You! Alicia P.S. 11/7-What about 'Just Do It Herself' written on a piece of plywood or floor or? I saw an image similar to this and liked it, the letters were almost like the old 3" stencils and bolded. Just another thought, I couldn't figure out how to get it uploaded an as example.
