The Cobb County Bar Association is a large (1000+ member) organization comprised of a variety of attorneys (prosecutors, judges, defense attorneys, civil attorneys, business attorneys, transactional attorneys). Although located just outside Atlanta, the CCBA has always and continues to have a small town feel. Established in 1953, the Bar has a deep rooted tradition of integrity, professionalism, and community service. Our sense of tradition and history are important and should guide the design of our logo.
The current (and outdated) logo is a "seal" of sorts and incorporates an outline of the county and scales of justice. The new logo should not include any scales, gavels, or columns.
One idea for the new logo would be to incorporate the Superior Court and State Court towers in some manner. Photos are provided. We are open to stylized logos.
The new logo should incorporated the Association's full name, the "CCBA" tag line, and reference the year established (1953). The new logo should be rectangular in design; although it can be vertical or horizontal.
The CCBA is a neutral place where adversaries can come together in harmony. We would like to see a neutral color palate, perhaps muted craftsman style colors (e.g., charcoals, terra cotta brick) to symbolize the neutrality of our organization. Bright primary colors should not be used (e.g., red, blue, or anything that would be deemed "political" colors).
The old logo and some background information (including photos) on the community of our Association can be seen on the current website, although this website will be changed to reflect the new theme of our new logo.
