We needed a logo for a new civic engagement app and Misterious did an excellent job. Always available for suggestions and changes. I highly recommend working with this designer.
How clinto started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Tusker Jack is a start-up chocolate maker – we hand craft dark chocolate bars from small batches of raw cacao beans. We source these beans from organic growers in Africa then roast, crack, winnow, grind and temper them into super premium chocolate bars at a factory in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. We sell our bars directly to “chocophiles” and other food connoisseurs through our website, our retail storefront, and specialty food stores.
Why “Tusker Jack”? In the forests and plains of Ghana and Tanzania, cacao trees grow alongside some the most majestic, but most threatened, animals on earth: African elephants. An elephant’s tusks never stop growing, so the elder elephants have the largest tusks of all. These elders, who lead and protect their families, are called “Tuskers”. We imagine that somewhere out there is a big old Tusker named Jack who, though he’d never admit it, could use our help. That’s why we donate 10% of our profits to protect African elephants and conserve their habitat.

This is going to be fun. I'm open to creative suggestions, but I'm envisioning a logo with an elephant character (that appears to be hand-illustrated, to reflect the hand-crafted nature of our chocolate) with the name "Tusker Jack". I'd like the elephant mark to eventually stand alone (e.g. on product packaging, promotional materials) without the "Tusker Jack" text, so the mark should be distinctive and interesting. Here's how I describe the brand:
