We build online budgeting software (soon to include mobile also) that's used in 190 countries. Our competitor is Mint.com, but we're international, and more feature-rich. We're looking for a smart, modern, consumer-facing logo that conveys a sense of sophistication and security to the user.

We currently use a modified version of Bellerose as our logotype (attached as an EPS) which we'd like to logo to work with. We're not entirely tied to this however, and are happy to consider alternative logotypes too. Re: the logo, one idea we had was a symbol that looked like a cross between a pocket and shield, with a zig-zag going through it upwards, symbolising a pocket, security, and and upwards financial trend. Again, not bound to the above and we're very happy to consider fresh ideas. Basically we want to move away from the heavily textured and skeuomorphic look at http://www.pocketsmith.com and https://my.pocketsmith.com (feel free to create a free account to sign in and look around) to something more crisp, light, and material-design-inspired. Ultimately, the purple, logo + logotype will help us inform the design for the website and software - so help us get started!
